Not too long ago, Xiaomi released its Redmi Note 11 lineup of smartphones in China. The Redmi Note 11 series is said to launch in the global/Indian markets soon, albeit with different monikers, as Xiaomi usually does with its smartphones. We were earlier expecting the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus to be renamed as the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge for India and the Redmi Note 11 Pro to be renamed as the Xiaomi 11i for the country. While this may still be true, we certainly don’t expect the brand to skip an entire Note generation for India. As a matter of fact, the first device in the Redmi Note 11 series, the Redmi Note 11T 5G is launching today (November 30th) in the country. Amidst all this, we have today been able to spot the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 11 Pro on the IMEI database listing, which suggests an imminent launch. Take a look.
Redmi Note 11 Pro visits IMEI database, India launch imminent
As seen in the images above, the Redmi Note 11 Pro (Indian variant) has recently visited the IMEI database website, which suggests that the launch of the device (and, well, the series) is nearing. Also, we have heard rumours (and educated findings) in the past, which suggest a slight change of names for India, so we are not entirely sure as to whether the Redmi Note 11 Pro Chinese variant will launch in India with its name being intact or if it’s just a placeholder name on the IMEI database website as of now, and we be seeing a renaming. In any case, the listing clearly hints that the launch of the device is nearing.
Redmi Note 11 Pro specifications
Coming to the specifications of the device, the Redmi Note 11 Pro sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, which is paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128GB/256GB of internal storage (UFS 2.2). The device boots Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out of the box. For photography, the Redmi Note 11 Pro sports a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP telemacro lens. At the front, the device fashions a 16MP selfie snapper. The Redmi Note 11 Pro retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and features SOUND BY JBL. In terms of battery life, the Redmi Note 11 Pro features a large 5,160mAh battery, which has support for up to 67W fast charging.
