OnePlus released its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 9RT, on October 13th at an event in China. The smartphone was expected to launch in India this month, but OnePlus has not communicated any official information regarding this. In fact, there is no word yet on the OnePlus 9RT launch date in India. Now, according to reliable tipster Mukul Sharma, the OnePlus 9RT has been listed on the Google Supported Devices List and Gooogle Play Listing website as well albeit with a slightly different name.
As per the listing, the OnePlus 9RT smartphone could launch as OnePlus RT in India, although we suggest that you take this information with a pinch of salt. According to the tipster, the same device with model number OP5154L1 was previously spotted on the BIS certification website as well, meaning this could very well be the OnePlus 9RT.
OnePlus 9RT specifications, features
The OnePlus 9RT features a 6.62-inch E4 OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1300nits peak brightness, HDR10+ certification support, and 600Hz touch response. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage.
In terms of optics, the OnePlus 9RT comes equipped with a triple rear camera system. The setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS and EIS support, 16MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, the smartphone gets a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. The device packs in a 4,500mAh battery and it supports Warp Charge 65W fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, and USB Type-C port, NFC, among other things.
The OnePlus 9RT’s design is similar to the OnePlus 9. There is a corner punch-hole camera on the display with slim bezels all around. The glass rear panel has a matt finish and houses a rear rectangular camera module along with the OnePlus logo. There is no physical fingerprint sensor here as the company is offering an in-display one. The Alert Slider has also been retained, which comes as a sigh of relief for the company’s fanbase as the feature is being removed from the budget offerings by OnePlus.
Tipster Yogesh Brar previously claimed that the OnePlus 9RT price in India will be between Rs 40,000 and Rs 44,000. The handset will likely be the replacement for the OnePlus 8T, which was launched around the same price bracket in 2020. We will have more information about the device, as and when it launches in India, so stay tuned for that.
