Motorola announced a new budget smartphone in India, the Moto G31. The Moto G31 made its debut in Europe earlier this month. The new budget handset from Motorola comes with an AMOLED display, a triple camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery. The Moto G31 will be competing against the likes of Redmi Note 10Samsung Galaxy M21, and Realme 8i. The brand is also expected to launch the Moto G51 5G in India soon and we exclusively revealed its pricing a few days ago. Moto G31 price in India starts from Rs 12,999. The newly announced Motorola smartphone comes in two storage variants – 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The base 4GB+64GB storage variant comes at Rs 12,999, while the 6GB+128GB storage model costs Rs 14,999. The Moto G31 will be available for purchase through Flipkart from December 6th.

The Moto G31 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a standard refresh rate of 60Hz and peak brightness of up to 700 nits. The display comes with a centred punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and an 88.8 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Mediatek Helio G85 chipset paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. A 5,000mAh battery backs up the Moto G31, and it comes with the support for 20W fast charging. The smartphone also features IPX2 splash resistivity. It runs on a near-stock version of Android 11 out of the box.

The Moto G31 features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. The other two cameras are an 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4. On the front, it has a 13MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated button for Google Assistant, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS and USB Type-C.
