OnePlus will finally launch the much-awaited OnePlus Buds Z2 alongside the OnePlus 9RT smartphone on Wednesday, October 13th in China. Ahead of today’s launch event, the OnePlus has teased several new features of the upcoming truly wireless earbuds, outlining all the upgrades they are bringing over the first-gen Buds Z. Let’s dive into some of the OnePlus Buds Z2 features teased by the brand officially.
OnePlus Buds Z2 features and specifications
As revealed from the poster below, the OnePlus Buds Z2 will have a 94ms audio latency providing almost no delay while gaming or while watching any multimedia content. This is a big upgrade from the 103ms latency on the Buds Z.
The buds will also support Bluetooth 5.2 and will have three microphones to offer better noise reduction at 40db. The original Buds Z did have 10mm drivers, but the new Buds Z2 will be equipped with 11mm drivers. OnePlus claims that the total battery life the buds offer along with the case is up to 38 hours. Additionally, the Buds Z2 will have a transparency mode, which wasn’t present on the previous-gen OnePlus Buds Z.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 will be packed with a 520mah battery whereas each earbud will have a battery capacity of 40mah. The new earbuds are said to be IP55 rated for sweat and water resistance.
OnePlus Buds Z colours and launch date
As stated earlier the upcoming OnePlus Buds Z2 TWS earbuds will launch on October 13th. The buds will be available in two colours – black and white. The company hasn’t revealed its pricing yet, but the preorders for it are starting on the launch day itself in China through JD.com and Suning.com, with the sales beginning from October 19.
