Apple Watch Series 7 is the company’s latest smartwatch and brings moderate upgrades over the Watch Series 6. It brings a familiar design in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm – and slightly faster-charging support. Now, it appears the Cupertino giant is already working on the Series 7’s successor — likely called Apple Watch Series 8. According to industry insider and Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO Ross Young, Apple Watch Series 8 would get a third model with a larger size. While Ross doesn’t mention the size of the new third model, we can speculate it could go beyond the current 45mm size.
Don’t be surprised if there are 3 sizes next year…

Furthermore, noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed the Apple Watch Series 8 will add new health management features such as the ability to monitor body temperature. Do note it’s not the skin surface like on some latest smartwatches. It isn’t clear at the moment how it would work.
Apple Watch Series 7 specifications
As said earlier, the Apple Watch Series 7 is available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm – and they feature a new Retina display with slightly rounded corners. The display is said to offer a 20 percent more screen area than its predecessor. It is IP6X certified for dust resistance and WR50 rated for water resistance. There’s new Time to Run and audio meditations added to the ‘Time to Walk’ feature on the Fitness+. Apple says the Watch Series 7 can last about 18 hours on a single charge and is said to offer 33 percent more faster charging than the Series 6 thanks to the new fast-charging USB Type-C cable. An eight-minute charge can track eight hours of sleep.
