The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launch date has been tipped again, and it isn’t coming soon. According to a report from FrontPageTech, the Galaxy S21 FE would be announced in October, contradicting a previous rumour of the smartphone launching on September 8th. As per the report, the Galaxy S21 FE would be available for pre-order starting October 20th, with sales scheduled to begin from October 29th. The report refers to the market launch of the Galaxy S21 FE, so we can expect the smartphone to be showcased in the first half of October. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specifications and design have been tipped several times in the past, so we know pretty much everything about the upcoming flagship.
A recent Geekbench listing showed the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE with model number SM-G990E running on the Exynos 2100 chipset. The company might offer two smartphone variants in different regions like the previous Galaxy S series smartphone. The Snapdragon 888-powered model is expected to be launched in the USA and Europe, while other markets get the Exynos model, including India.
A recently leaked user manual of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE also spilt some features of the smartphone. As per the user manual, the smartphone would be featuring an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos, Wireless DeX, wireless charging, reverse wireless charging and Samsung Pay. The user manual also suggests that the smartphone would be coming without a charger in the box like its other Galaxy S21 smartphones.
The report notes that the Galaxy S21 FE would be coming in Graphite, White, Olive Green, and Lavender colours. It will be offered in two storage configurations- 128GB and 256GB.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE expected specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is rumoured to sport a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a centred punch-hole cutout for a 10MP selfie camera. It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 888+ SoC/ Exynos 2100 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The smartphone is said to be backed up by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast-charging.
The Galaxy S21 FE will be featuring a triple-rear camera setup. However, there’s no word on the exact configuration yet. The smartphone will be offering connectivity features including 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C for charging. The smartphone is expected to measure 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9mm (9.3mm with camera bump).
