The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G support page has gone live on the Samsung India website, suggesting that the device will soon be launched. As the rumours around the device amass momentum, the support page going live means that the device will soon see the light of the day. The support page for the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G registers the device model number to be SM-E426B. The page, however, doesn’t disclose much else about the device. We however know some key details and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G, as the rumours and leaks indicated that the new Samsung smartphone might just be a rebadged Samsung Galaxy A22 5G.
Samsung Galaxy F42 5G specifications (expected)
The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is rumoured to be a rebranded Galaxy A22 5G, with minor changes. Although details or extent of the changes are not known, it is expected that the device will get similar hardware to the Galaxy A22 5G. The Galaxy F42 5G can be expected to come with a 6.6-inch HD+ TFT display that refreshes at 90Hz. Samsung Galaxy F42 5G will also get a Dimensity 700 from MediaTek that will lend the smartphone its 5G capability.
The Dimensity 700 will be paired alongside an option for 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is likely to retain the 48MP main camera. It will also get a 5MP ultra-wide camera at the rear. The selfie camera might be different as well, however, no details regarding that are known so far. Both the variants are expected to come with in-built 128GB of storage as well as an option for expanding the storage via a micro-SD card.
There has been no official confirmation from Samsung regarding the Galaxy F42 5G launch date in India. We expect to learn more about the launch now that the phone’s support page has been spotted in India.
