OnePlus 9 RT is expected to launch next month in India and China and it will be the only numbered flagship for this year. After the OnePlus 9 RT, the company will be shifting its focus to the OnePlus 10 flagships that should debut around March-April 2022. While it’s too early to comment on what the OnePlus 9 series successors will bring with regards to hardware, noted tipster Yogesh Brar says the OnePlus 10 design may not be radically different from its predecessor. According to him, the OnePlus 10 phones will be polished versions of the OnePlus 9 series. This likely means, the OnePlus 10 Pro version will have curved edges and a punch-hole cutout, while the regular model will have a flat screen.
Additionally, it is also learned that OnePlus is also working on a new Nord series phone and new accessories, which are expected to launch at the October event. That’s everything that is revealed from the latest leak but if the company is indeed working on these phones, we should start hearing more information going forward.
OnePlus 9 RT specifications (expected)
Separately, possible OnePlus 9 RT with the model number MT2111 has appeared on the BIS certification, suggesting the launch could be close. The listing doesn’t reveal much else about the phone. Earlier reports have claimed the OnePlus 9 RT is said to sport a 6.55-inch FHD+ E3 AMOLED display with 2,400 X 1,080 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. It is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
OnePlus 9 RT is said to feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, the same sensor seen on the OnePlus Nord 2. The primary sensor will be paired with a 16MP Sony IMX481 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP B&W sensor. It is said to feature a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. A 4,500mAh dual-cell battery with 65W fast-charging support is said to fuel the phone. The OnePlus 9 RT is said to be equipped with NFC, dual stereo speakers, and an X-axis vibration motor. It will be the first OnePlus phone to boot OxygenOS 12 based Android 12 out of the box.
