Google Pixel 6 series is all set to launch in October in several markets. Unfortunately, India will not be one of them. Amongst other aspects, pricing is something a lot of people will look out for and Google Pixel 6 Pro is already being called “expensive” by Google SVP of Devices and Services Rick Osterloh. This comes despite Google deploying its in-house Tensor chip, which should technically have a healthy effect on the device’s pricing. But along with Google’s official specs tease and design unveiling we have some fresh insights on the Google Pixel 6 price courtesy of YouTuber M. Brandon Lee.
Google Pixel 6 European price leaked
Google took the wraps off the Google Pixel 6 series last month giving us a closer look at the design and also revealed some highlights of the hardware sheet, including the Tensor chipset. The Tensor chip has been developed in-house and takes pages from Google’s expert book of server technology.
Now we have some early understanding of what the Google Pixel 6 could be priced in the European markets thanks to YouTuber M. Brandon Lee from channel This is Tech Today. Brandon cites a source who works for a major cellular retailer in Europe and later 9to5Google also checked up on the same confirming the authenticity of the rumour. It speculated that one model of the Google Pixel 6 will start at €649 (approx Rs 56,250) and another model from the Google Pixel 6 Pro line will cost around €899 (approx Rs 77,919).
Despite the expectation of the Google Pixel 6 being priced on the premium side of the market, it seems that even after all the gains and boosts that the Google Pixel 6 is going to bring along the price bump is a mere €20 over the Google Pixel 5’s €629. Moving onto the ‘Pro’-end of the Pixel 6 lineup, one would be expected to pay around €250 more for an addition of a telephoto lens, UWB connectivity, 120Hz display and some more. These prices are strictly indicative and don’t reflect the actual pricing of the device, which can’t be confirmed until launch. Moreover, different markets might get devices priced differently.
The Google Pixel 6 colours were previously shown off when Google took the covers off of the new design language on the Pixel 6 line. From there, we know that the Google Pixel 6 line will be getting five shades of colours slipt between the two model lines. These five colour options are – red, green, black, silver and gold. But it is expected that Google might coin some quirky names for its shades. This is Tech Today‘s source also claimed that the black and green colour palette is going to be called “carbon” and “fog” respectively.
It is also reported that the Google Pixel 6 line will be launched on October 19th and will be released on October 28th.
