Realme 8i and Realme 8s are confirmed to launch in India soon. Realme India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth revealed that the two new phones in the Realme 8 series will be coming to India soon in the latest episode of ‘Ask Madhav’. This comes after a report last week that the two phones were expected to release in India soon. The Realme executive did not reveal the Realme 8i and Realme 8s launch date in India just yet, but we expect to see one of the phones later this month while the other could launch in September. In the video, Sheth is asking fans which phone they would like to see in India first.

Realme 8i and Realme 8s coming to India soon
Realme has so far launched the Realme 8, Realme 8 Pro, and Realme 8 5G phones in India under the Realme 8 series. The upcoming Realme 8i and Realme 8s are expected to be affordable models in the series, presumably priced well under Rs 15,000.
Realme 8s will notably be the first ‘s’ phone in the numbers series since the Realme 5s that was launched back in 2019. Meanwhile, the Realme 8i will succeed the Realme 7i that was launched last year at Rs 11,999. The pricing of the predecessor suggests the Realme 8i will also be priced around Rs 12,000. The Realme 8s could be a cheaper smartphone, priced under Rs 10,000.
It is unclear whether one or both of the upcoming Realme 8-series phones will support 5G. Realme has been rapidly expanding its portfolio of 5G phones in India. The company is keen to launch more and more affordable 5G phones and it won’t be wrong to assume that the Realme 8i or Realme 8s could support 5G.
In terms of specifications, not much is known about the Realme 8s. The Realme 8i, on the other hand, may have appeared on TENAA back in April with images and key specs. The phone is said to feature an AMOLED display and may support 5G connectivity. The Realme 8i is expected to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 4,400mAh battery. That said, it would be wise to take this with a pinch of salt as the phone is expected to come with budget specs and the TENAA listing doesn’t seem to add up.
