A new Mi Notebook could launch in India soon with a feature that Xiaomi has been proudly teasing. Xiaomi India’s Chief Business Officer Raghu Reddy shared an image of a Mi Notebook with a backlit keyboard. Laptops with backlit keyboards aren’t rare to find but Xiaomi is happy to tease this feature as its existing Mi Notebook models in India do not offer a backlit keyboard. The company launched the Mi Notebook 14 and the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition laptops in India last year, both without a backlit keyboard and a webcam.
The Xiaomi executive tweeted an image that partially teases the upcoming new Mi Notebook in India. We can see a metal body and a large trackpad. We can also see the backlit keyboard, which is the “upgrade” the Xiaomi executive is talking about. The upcoming laptop is looking more and more like a MacBook clone, which we suppose would not bother fans if it is a practical design at an affordable price point.
As of now, there is no word on the upcoming Mi Notebook specifications. The laptop is likely to debut at Xiaomi’s Smarter Living 2022 event. The company is yet to announce the Smarter Living 2022 event date and time, so we will have to wait for a few more days to know more. At the upcoming IoT event, Xiaomi may also launch the Mi Band 6 in India. The fitness tracker was unveiled in China back in March and is yet to make it to India. The Mi Band 6 price in China is around Rs 2,500, so we expect it to arrive in the country priced at Rs 2,999. Xiaomi could also launch new Mi TVs and other smart products at the upcoming Smarter Living 2022 event.
