POCO M3 price in India hiked both online and offline: check out how much it costs now

If you are planning to get yourself the POCO M3 smartphone, there is, unfortunately, some bad news for you. One of our sources in the retail market has informed us that the company has increased the price of the POCO M3 in India by Rs 500 for the offline market. As soon as we learnt about the price hike of the POCO M3 for the offline market, we checked the POCO M3 prices on Flipkart (the official online seller of the phone) and found that its price has been hiked for the online market as well. Let us have a look at the old and the new prices of the POCO M3.

POCO M3 price in India increased by Rs 500

According to our retail source, the POCO M3 prices in India have been increased for the 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants by Rs 500 each. The price of the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant remains unchanged. To recall, the POCO M3 was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 10,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs 11,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version. Now, with a price hike of Rs 500, the POCO M3 costs Rs 11,499 for the 6GB+64GB variant and Rs 12,499 for the 6GB+128GB version.

The new prices are live on Flipkart and the chances are that the POCO store near you might sell you the phone at the new prices as well. Lately, smartphone brands have been increasing the prices of their smartphones due to an increase in the prices of raw materials and transportation. This price hike is also a result of a shortage of components, such as semiconductors. Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, in particular, has been at the forefront of smartphone price hikes in India.

POCO M3 specifications

The POCO M3 has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone comes with a 48MP primary, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth cameras at the rear and an 8MP camera at the front. Powering the smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC. As I mentioned earlier, you can get the smartphone in 4GB+64GB, 6GB+64GB, and 6GB+128GB configurations.

The phone runs on the Android 10 OS with MIUI 12. The POCO M3 packs a 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging. Its connectivity options include two SIM card slots, 4G support, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, Infrared port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Other features include dual speakers and a fingerprint scanner.
