OnePlus Nord has seemingly been discontinued in India. This comes ahead of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G India launch, which is just a day away. The company has been quite vocal about teasing key Nord CE 5G features. The handset is already confirmed to ship with a 64MP primary camera, 30W fast-charging support, 4,500mAh battery, and more. Now, while we wait for the OnePlus Nord CE 5G launch in India, the original OnePlus Nord has seemingly been discontinued as it is unavailable for purchase on the OnePlus website and on Amazon and we’re not sure whether it would be available going forward. It seems the Nord CE 5G will be replacing the original Nord.

Considering the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 5G will replace the original Nord, it only makes sense for the brand to promote and push the former. To recall, the original OnePlus Nord launched in India back in July 2020 at a starting price of Rs 24,999 for the base model. It came with a 6.44-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with up 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage that isn’t further expandable. It runs on Android 10 with OxygenOS 10 on top and packs an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
The OnePlus Nord has a quad-camera setup with a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, a 5MP depth sensor, and a macro sensor for close-up shots. There is a 32MP primary selfie camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 105-degree field of view. The phone is backed by a 4,115mAh battery and 30W fast charging support.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G specifications
OnePlus Nord CE 5G specifications include a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC paired with Adreno 619 GPU. The phone is expected to be available in 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 12GB+256GB configurations in India.The phone is likely to boot Android 11 OS with Oxygen OS custom skin out of the box. Connectivity options could include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
Moving to optics, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is said to feature a triple camera setup at the back, with a 64MP OmniVision sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth unit. It is tipped to pack a 16MP on the front for selfies and video chats and measure just 7.9mm in thickness. The phone will pack a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support.

According to reports, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G price in India is said to start at Rs 22,999 for the base model. We should learn more details about the phone soon.
