Redmi Note 8 2021 complete specifications were revealed on Tuesday as the phone was listed on the Xiaomi global website. Now, the company has officially launched the phone and has revealed the Redmi Note 8 2021 price. It comes as an upgrade to the original Redmi Note 8 from 2019. The Redmi Note 8 2021 retains the waterdrop notch, vertical rear camera module, and a physical fingerprint sensor. Key specifications include a 6.3-inch FHD+ display, MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, and a 48MP primary camera.

Redmi Note 8 2021 price is $169 (approx Rs 12,300) for the 4GB + 64GB model and $189 (around Rs 13,800) for the 4GB + 128GB storage version. The device comes in Neptune Blue, Moonlight White and Space Black colour options.

The Redmi Note 8 2021 sports a  6.3-inch FHD+ LCD display with 2,340×1,080 pixels resolution, waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and 500its brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with Mali-G52 MP2 GPU, 4GB RAM, and up to 128GB internal storage. The phone runs Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 custom skin and packs a 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. The company is bundling a 22.5W charger in the box.

Moving to optics, the Redmi Note 8 2021 has a quad-camera system on the back, with a 48MP (f/1.79) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. There is a 13MP snapper on the front for selfies and video calls and a physical fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ Glonass, and USB Type-C port for charging.
