Realme had recently announced it will launch the Realme Quicksilver phone powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G SoC. While the company hasn’t revealed the exact timeline for it, the handset is slated to launch in China on June 18th, according to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station. The tipster hasn’t revealed any details about the phone but there are high chances the Realme Snapdragon 778 phone is the ‘Quicksilver’ and it could be part of the Realme GT series. Furthermore, it is also said that Realme will also introduce a Snapdragon 870-powered phone at the same event. Recently we came across a screenshot that shows the ‘about phone’ section of a Snapdragon 870 powered Realme phone.
According to the recently leaked screenshot, the upcoming Realme phone will ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 custom skin out of the box, 256GB storage version of which 218GB will be available, 12GB RAM and will utilise 5GB storage as virtual RAM for better multitasking, which means the phone will have a total of 17GB of RAM. We speculate the Realme Snapdragon 870 phone may have quad-cameras at the back. Connectivity options could include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging.
