Realme 8 5G becomes even cheaper in India as the young brand has launched a new 4GB+64GB configuration, giving users more storage choices to pick from. Realme 8 5G was already the cheapest 5G phone in India when it was originally launched at a starting cost of Rs 14,999 for the base 4GB+128GB variant. Now, with the new storage configuration, the phone’s price is cheaper by Rs 1,000. To recall, Realme 8 5G was originally launched late last month in India and it was only available in two models: 4GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. Besides the new RAM and storage option, the rest of the Realme 8 5G specifications remain the same. The phone touts a 6.5-inch 90Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 700, 48MP camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.

Realme 8 5G price in India and sale date
Realme 8 5G price in India starts at Rs 13,999 for the new 4GB+64GB storage option and the first sale of this variant is on May 18th. The company is offering 10 percent cashback of up to Rs 200 on MobiKwik payments and Rs 75 cashback with Freecharge payments.
Realme 8 5G 4GB RAM+128GB variant costs Rs 14,999 while the 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 16,999. The handset is available via the Realme website and Flipkart.
Realme 8 5G specifications
Realme 8 5G flaunts a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 600 nits brightness, punch-hole cutout, a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and Dragontrail glass. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage that is further expandable via microSD card. The phone boots Android 11 OS with Realme UI 2.0 custom skin on top and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
Realme 8 5G has a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP primary sensor with PDAF, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP depth camera. There is a 16MP Sony IMX471 snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Realme 8 5G measures 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.5mm and weighs 185 grams.
