In the latest teaser, the company has shown off a location that looks very similar to the Sanhok map on PUBG Mobile. The image shows Sanhok’s Ban Tai area, which is a dock that is known for offering a lot of loot. It seems Battlegrounds Mobile India will get a map similar to what you see on PUBG Mobile, which would be a welcome sight for long-time PUBG fans. However, it is unclear whether Krafton will be retaining names like Sanhok, Pochinki, and so on.

Krafton looking to avoid PUBG Mobile comparisons
While we are not sure yet, it is possible the maps and cities will have completely different names in Battlegrounds Mobile India. The Sanhok, Vikendi, Miramar, and Erangel maps may be renamed in the upcoming game. The reason behind this could be Krafton’s aim to have little in common with PUBG Mobile for fear of being banned again. Krafton has reportedly told content creators to not use the PUBG Mobile name when talking about Battlegrounds Mobile India. One way to ensure this does not happen is by changing the names of the maps and cities.
There is a lot that we don’t know about Battlegrounds Mobile India as of now, but the company has revealed that the game is exclusively for the Indian market. In addition to India-specific events, the gameplay, characters, and more will be tweaked in order to make it more user-friendly. We are looking at a game that will offer less violence compared to PUBG Mobile India.
