Xiaomi Mi 11X official live images suggest a rebranded Redmi K40

Xiaomi is gearing up for its biggest launch event in India on April 23rd, where it will be unveiling the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11X, Mi 11X Pro, and a massive 75-inch QLED TV. There are speculations the Xiaomi Mi 11X will be a rebrand of the Redmi K40 that launched in China back in February along with Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+. Now, Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain gives us the first live images of the Mi 11X which seemingly confirm that the phone is indeed the Redmi K40. It will be available in Celestial Gold, Celestial Blue and Celestial Pink colour options. The Xiaomi Mi 11X has triple cameras at the back in a rectangular module with LED flash.

Mi 11X specs may be similar to Redmi K40

If the Mi 11X is a rebranded Redmi K40, then we may know some of the specifications already. To recall, the Redmi K40 flaunts a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch response, and a 3.5mm slim bottom bezel. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage that can be further expandable via a microSD card.

The Redmi K40 runs Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin out of the box and packs a 4,520mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C for charging and data transfer. As for the cameras, the Redmi K40 will have a triple camera setup at the back, with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens. There is a 20MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

Mi 11X price (expected)

The Redmi K40’s price in China is RMB 1,999 (approx Rs 22,400) for the 6GB+128GB model, RMB 2,199 (approx Rs 24,700) for the 8GB+128GB option, RMB 2,499 (approx Rs 28.000) for the 8GB+256GB variant, and RMB 2,699 (approx Rs 30,000) for the 12GB+256GB model. If the Mi 11X is a rebranded Redmi K40, you can expect the phone to launch in India under Rs 30,000.
