POCO X3 Pro price in India was announced last week and the phone is set to go on sale for the first time on Tuesday, April 6th. Ahead of the sale, we take a look at how the POCO X3 Pro looks in front of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, which is considered to be one of the best phones you can buy right now for under Rs 20,000. POCO X3 Pro offers plenty of high-end features, such as a powerful Snapdragon 860 chipset, at an excellent price. The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is similarly priced and offers solid mid-range specifications with an arguably better main camera. Let’s take a look at what the two phones have to offer and see how they compare to each other in terms of prices and specifications.
POCO X3 Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: price in India
The POCO X3 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max both start at Rs 18,999. Yes, that’s right, both these phones have the same starting price for their respective base variants. The X3 Pro price in India for the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant is Rs 18,999, whereas the 8GB RAM option will set you back by Rs 20,999.
On the other hand, the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is priced at Rs 18,999, and the 128GB version will cost you Rs 19,999. There’s also a variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is available for Rs 21,999.
Although both phones are priced the same for the base variant, you do get double the storage with the POCO X3 Pro. This phone will go on sale starting April 6th on Flipkart, and you can avail another Rs 1,000 discount with ICICI Bank credit cards. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is already available for purchase via Amazon India and Mi India websites. You can also get a Rs 1,500 discount with ICICI Bank credit cards.
POCO X3 Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: design and display
Moving on to the design aspect of the two phones, both have a hole-punch display, with the cutout being positioned at the top centre. There’s also a bit of a chin at the bottom on both device, which makes them look similar from the front. The POCO X3 Pro has a 6.7-inch LCD display that offers FHD+ resolution, a high 120Hz refresh rate, 240hz touch response, 450 nits brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. On the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, you have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, also with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It also gets a higher 1200 nits brightness, HDR10 support, and TUV Rheinland low blue light certification with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
However, turn the phones around and there’s a lot of differences here. The POCO X3 Pro has a circular camera module at the back and large POCO branding. The rear panel has a glossy finish to it, which makes it look premium. The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max on the other hand has a rectangular pill-shaped camera module placed on the top left corner. It gets subtle branding with a matte finish rear panel. Both devices feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
POCO X3 Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: specifications
Finally, let’s get to the specifications offered by these phones. The POCO X3 Pro is a more powerful device as it gets the latest Snapdragon 860 chipset, which is a slightly overclocked Snapdragon 855+ SoC. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a mid-range Snapdragon 732G chipset. Both the phones offer up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, but the POCO X3 Pro has a faster UFS 3.1 flash memory. The smartphones also get a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
In the camera department, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max may offer better pictures thanks to its 108-megapixel primary sensor. The POCO X3 Pro has a 48-megapixel main rear camera, which is paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and dual 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro. The Note 10 Pro Max also gets an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel macro unit, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Coming to selfies, the POCO gets a higher-resolution 20-megapixel sensor, whereas the Redmi makes do with a 16-megapixel unit.
For batteries, the POCO X3 Pro gets a slightly larger 5,160mAh cell compared to the 5,020mAh unit on the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Both phones offer support for 33W fast charging.
POCO X3 Pro vs Redmi Note 10 Pro Max: verdict
