Apple refreshed the iPad Pro lineup on Tuesday. The 2021 iPad Pro features the same design as last year’s models and you get it in 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. But the biggest highlight about the new iPad Pro is that you get them powered by the Apple Silicon M1 chip. Using this hardware means now you get a MacBook-like performance on the iPad. The iPad Pro 2021 specification list includes Liquid Retina XDR display, 5G, offering up to a massive 2TB onboard storage, Thunderbolt and USB 4 port for connectivity. iPad Pro 2021 11-inch price in India starts at Rs 71,900 for the 128GB storage variant. Apple AirTag
The AirTag is finally official after years of rumours. Apple’s very own tracking device helps you track items like handbag, backpack, keys and more. It comes powered by the U1 chip and works in tandem with the Find My ecosystem from Apple. The Apple AirTag gets an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It has features NFC, Bluetooth LE for pairing and Siri support among others. Apple AirTag will cost you Rs 3,190 for a single unit. While a pack of four AirTag will be sold at Rs 10,900.
Apple TV 4K refresh
Along with the iMac, iPad and iPhone, Apple also had the Apple TV as part of the product lineup at the event. The company has launched its long-overdue refresh of the Apple TV 4K. It now supports a higher refresh rate with support for Dolby Vision technology. For an extra boost in performance and quality, the device comes powered by the Apple A12 Bionic chip. And the Siri remote gets an overhaul with the voice command button on the side of the remote for easy access. Apple TV 4K price starts from Rs 18,900 in India.
Apple Podcast gets a redesign
And finally, you have the Apple Podcast service. The company has revamped its app to make it more informative, appealing and user-friendly. The features work through a single tap, and you can access the content in the library in an easier fashion. The app redesign will also help users find content based on the creators.
But that’s not all, Apple has finally got a business model in place to build on the promise of audio-centric services. The Cupertino-based giant is going to offer its content through a subscription service with the Podcast app that will offer early access and ad-free streaming to the users. The service will be available in 170 regions and countries from next month onwards.
