Xiaomi has teased the Redmi TV launch in India on several occasions. Initially, we speculated that it would be launched alongside the Redmi Note 10 series, but the brand will be launching the smart TV on March 17th. The Redmi TV XL has been hinted at once again, this time around it gets a dedicated landing page on Amazon India. Xiaomi India Head Manu Kumar Jain also Tweeted about some Redmi TV XL features, such as HDR10 certification and Dolby Vision. Redmi TV XL features teased
In all likelihood, the Redmi TV XL is the Indian version of the Redmi MAX TV that was launched in China. It features a colossal 86-inch LCD panel with 4K (3840×2160) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate. It covers 92% of the DCI-P3 colour spectrum. Like several modern-day TVs, it features a MEMC chip that allows the TV to adjust its refresh rate dynamically, upscale SD to HD content in real-time, and more. As mentioned earlier, the Redmi TV XL supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD, and more.
Under the hood, the Redmi TV XL is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53-based CPU, coupled with a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. Connectivity options include three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one S/PDIF port, and one ethernet jack. Ideally, one of the HDMI ports should support eARC. Lastly, the Redmi TV XL packs dual 24W speakers.
