OPPO foldable phone reportedly launching in Q2 2021

Highlights
  • The OPPO foldable phone will reportedly launch in Q2
  • It will be a foldable phone and not OPPO X 2021 rollable concept device that was shown off in 2020
  • OPPO will look to take on Huawei and Samsung foldables with its next-gen smartphone

OPPO will be launching a foldable phone sometime in Q2 2021, i.e. sometime between April and June this year, according to a noted leakster Digital Chat Station. To be clear, it will be a foldable, and not a rollable concept device like the OPPO X 2021 that was showcased last year. Unfortunately, the leak doesn’t reveal much about the hardware specifications or the design of the OPPO foldable at the moment, but the company will look to take on Huawei and Samsung foldables in its home soil, China. Besides OPPO, Google, Xiaomi, Vivo and Google are rumours to bring out their foldable phones later this year.
