February saw a laundry list of smartphone launches, both globally and in India, from the likes of POCO, Realme, Redmi, OPPO, Samsung, Nokia, and even LG. Things started off with the low-cost POCO M3, followed by the 5G-ready Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro in India. The Realme V11 5G got launched too, but only in China. The low-cost Nokia 5.4 and Nokia 3.4 largely flew under the radar, as its launch was overshadowed by the Samsung Galaxy F62, which also relaunched as the Samsung Galaxy M62 sometime after. Things ended with a bang too, with the highly-awaited Realme Narzo 30A and Narzo 30 Pro being launched just before the Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro+.

Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ price and specifications
The Redmi K40 Pro starts at CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 31,500) for the 6GB+128GB variant. The 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants are priced at CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 33,700) and CNY 3,299 (approx Rs 37,100), respectively. There is only one Redmi K40 Pro+ model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which costs CNY 3,699 (approx Rs 41,600). Both phones feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1300 nits peak brightness.
Similarly, both devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, up to 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage. Their 4,520mAh batteries support 33W fast-charging. The Redmi K40 Pro gets a triple camera system that includes a 64MP primary camera, 8MP wide-angle lens, and 5MP macro lens. The Redmi K40 Pro replaces the 64MP lens with a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor. Lastly, a 20MP camera takes care of selfies and video calls.
