OPPO F19 Pro+ launch expected as name gets spotted on Google ARCore Supported Devices List

Highlights
  • OOPPO F19, OPPO F19 Pro, and OPPO F19 Pro+ are expected to launch soon
  • OPPO F19 Pro+ moniker was found on Google ARCore’s list of compatible devices
  • OPPO is expected to unveil the OPPO F19 series sometime in March 2021.

The OPPO F19 and OPPO F19 Pro are all set to be joined by a third, more impressively-specced variant, called the OPPO F19 Pro+. The information comes via the list of devices that are Google ARCore certified (via MySmartPrice). The list includes the OPPO F19 Pro+ moniker alongside the OPPO Find X3 and Find X3 Pro phones. We exclusively reported that the OPPO F19 and OPPO F19 Pro India launch will take place in March 2021. If the OPPO Reno5 series is anything to go by, we can expect OPPO to carry forward its staggered launch cycle and release the OPPO F19 Pro+ a few weeks after the other two devices.

It is far too early to speculate what the OPPO F19 Pro+ specifications will be. If its predecessor is anything to go by, we can expect it to run a high-end MediaTek chipset. Back when the OPPO F17 Pro was launched, Mediatek’s Helio P95 was one of the better mid-range chipsets available. Things are a lot better this time around as there are several Dimensity chipsets that OPPO can use on the OPPO F19, OPPO F19 Pro, and OPPO F19 Pro+.

In all likelihood, the OPPO F19 Pro+, in particular, will likely ship with a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 or Dimensity 1200 chipset. Although we don’t know a whole lot about its camera set up yet, it has been reported that the OPPO F19 and F19 Pro will come with a telephoto lens that offers up to 10X lossless zoom. Support for fast charging is a given too, although it might take it down a notch and restrict it to 33W, reserving the 65W Super VOOC feature for its high-end offerings. We expect to learn more about the OPPO F19 series launch in the coming weeks.
