There are a surprising number of Motorola new phones in development at the moment. The list includes the Motorola Ibiza (G40), Moto G10, Moto G30, Motorola Nio, Moto E7 Power, Moto G7 Play (2021), and Motorola Athena, among others. If rumours are anything to go by, the launch of these upcoming Motorola phones is just around the corner. Additionally, the Lenovo-backed company has also announced the launch of new flagships this year. We’ve compiled a list of the new Motorola phones that are expected to launch in 2021, with everything we know, so far. Take a look:
New Motorola phones launching in 2021
1. Motorola Ibiza (G40)
Sounds cool, but Motorola Ibiza could just be the model name of the upcoming Motorola mobile phone. The handset is rumoured to launch with the Moto G40 moniker. Tipster Mukul Sharma claims that the Motorola Ibiza launch in India will be in February. Moto G40 aka Ibiza specifications are expected to include 5G-capable Snapdragon 480 SoC, 90Hz refresh rate screen, 48MP triple rear cameras, 5,000mAh battery, and the near-stock version of Android 11.
2. Moto G10 and Moto G30
Moto G10 and Moto G30 prices, specifications, and designs were recently leaked. The Moto G10, which is also known by its codename Capri, is said to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC, quad-camera setup housed in a rectangular module with a 48MP primary camera, and an 8MP snapper in the waterdrop notch. The phone is also tipped to rock a 6.5-inch display with standard 60Hz refresh rate, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, a 5,000mAh battery. The Moto G30 that is allegedly codenamed as Capri Plus is rumoured to include Snapdragon 662 SoC and 64MP triple rear cameras, while the display and battery remain the same as the G10. Moto G10 price is tipped to be EUR 149.99 (~Rs 13,100), whereas the Moto G30 price is said to start at EUR 179.99 (~Rs 15,800).
3. Moto E7 Power
Moto E7 Power is believed to be the upcoming affordable smartphone from the brand. This new Moto phone is rumoured to ship with MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, 2GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage, dual cameras with a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth camera. The Moto E7 Power specs may also include a 5,000mAh battery, a waterdrop screen with slim bezels, triple cameras and a physical fingerprint sensor embedded in the Moto dimple. The Moto E7 Power price hasn’t been revealed just yet.
4. Moto G Play (2021)
Moto G Play (2021) launch is expected before April. The Motorola mobile phone has been doing the rounds of the rumour mill. Moto G Play specifications are said to be as follows: HD+ display, Snapdragon 460 SoC, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, 5MP selfie camera, 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery. The phone may come with a squarish camera module at the back and a waterdrop notch screen. That’s pretty much everything we so far know about the Moto G Play (2021).
5. Motorola Nio
Motorola Nio is expected to be the upcoming flagship from Motorola. The handset launch is imminent as it has been certified and benchmarked by Wi-Fi Alliance and Geekbench respectively. The Motorola Nio will allegedly rock Snapdragon 865 SoC and a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a rather peculiar 105Hz refresh rate and dual punch-hole for selfie cameras. The phone is expected to pack a triple camera setup stacked in a squarish module and highlighted by a 64MP primary sensor at the back. The front camera of the phone may sport a 16MP main sensor and 8MP secondary sensor. A 5,000mAh battery is rumoured to fuel the Motorola Nio.
6. Moto G Stylus 2021
Moto G Stylus 2021 specifications and design have all been leaked. The new Motorola phone is speculated to come with a 6.8-inch display and 169.6mm X 73.7mm X 8.8mm (10.9mm with the rear camera bump) dimension. The handset may flaunt a quad camera setup at the back comprising a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth lens and a 5MP Macro sensor. The Moto G Stylus 2021 is tipped to pack a 16MP selfie snapper on the front. The Amazon listing claimed it will have a 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, Android 10 OS, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. The Moto G Stylus 2021 price and launch date remain under the wraps at the moment.
7. Motorola Athena
Motorola Athena is another smartphone that is in the making. The handset’s launch seems to be nearing as the smartphone has appeared on the Google Play Console listing, Play support page and Geekbench. The listings revealed key Motorola Athena specifications such as HD+ screen, Snapdragon 662 SoC, Adreno 610 GPU, 4GB RAM, and slightly dated Android 10 OS.
In addition to these, Motorola has confirmed to launch Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 870 SoC-powered phones in 2021. The details about the handsets remain vague at the moment.
