Huawei Mate X2 has been launched in China as the successor to the Mate X that was announced way back in 2019. The Mate X2 foldable phone comes with a design language that is similar to the Galaxy Fold. The phone has a rectangular camera module at the back with quad-lenses, a pill-shaped punch-hole design with a single snapper, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and 5G connectivity. Huawei Mate X2 specifications include an 8-inch OLED display with 2,480 X 2,200 pixels resolution, 8:7:1 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and DCI-P3 colour gamut. This display folds up in half so the device can close and open like a book. There’s a 6.45-inch OLED display on the cover that offers 2,700 x 1,160 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Kirin 9000 5G SoC coupled with ARM Mali-G78 MP24 GPU, Dual Big Core + Tiny Core NPUs (Neural-network Processing Unit), 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB expandable storage. The phone runs Android 10 OS with EMUI 11 and HMS (Huawei Mobile Services). It measures 161.8×74.6×14.7mm when folded and 161.8×145.8×8.2mm when unfolded. The handset weighs a hefty 295 grams.

It has dual-speakers and connectivity features include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS, NavIC, NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C (GEN1). A 4,500mAh battery with 55W SuperCharge support fuels the phone.
