A few Motorola phones have received the Wi-Fi Alliance certification this week. The devices with model numbers XT2127-1, XT2127-2, XT2129-1, and XT2129-2 belong to the rumoured Motorola Capri and Motorola Capri Plus smartphones. The certification website suggests the devices are ready to launch soon. As per the Wi-Fi Alliance website, both the Motorola Capri and Motorola Capri Plus will support dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz, 5GHz) and will run on Android 11. That’s pretty much all we know from the certification, but we do have more information about the Motorola Capri and Capri Plus devices based on past reports.

Motorola Capri Plus specifications were recently spotted on Geekbench and it seems the device will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, 4GB RAM, and Android 11 OS. Additionally, a German publication tipped that the smartphone will come with an HD+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Motorola Capri Plus is also tipped to come with up to 128GB storage, 64MP quad cameras, and a 13MP front-facing camera.
Meanwhile, the Motorola Capri (XT2127-1) was spotted on the FCC certification website last month with some key specs. The device will come with a 5,000mAh battery, an HD+ display, and 48MP quad cameras. As of now, this is all we know about the Motorola Capri series. Now that the smartphones have received the Wi-Fi Alliance certification, it won’t be long before they go official. We expect the Motorola Capri and Capri Plus to launch later this month or in February.
