Moto G30 launch is now expected as a Motorola phone with model number XT2129-2 has appeared on the NBTC certification website. To recall, the Motorola Capri and Capri Plus phones were tipped to be in the works for some time now and recent leaks have revealed a few key details, hinting to us on what’s coming. It now seems that the XT2129-2 model, which was previously known as the Motorola Capri Plus, will now be called the Moto G30, as spotted by MySmartPrice. However, the vanilla Motorola Capri hasn’t made an appearance on the certification at the moment, but we can hope to come across the listing shortly. Unfortunately, the Moto G30 specifications are still under wraps as the NBTC listing doesn’t reveal much about the phone’s hardware.

The Geekbench listing showed it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC paired with Adreno 610 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage. There could be a 6GB RAM option with more inbuilt storage that could be announced at launch. The smartphone is likely to run on a near-stock Android 11 OS. As for the cameras, the Motorola Capri Plus aka G30 is said to have a quad-camera setup at the back that may include a 64MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens.
The Moto G30 may feature a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. The Moto Capri Plus had managed to score 306 points in the single-core test and 1,258 points in the multi-core round in the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Connectivity features could include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
