Lenovo has launched the IdeaPad Slim 5i, Lenovo Yoga 7i, and Yoga 9i laptops, powered by Intel’s latest 11th generation Tiger Lake processors. The IdeaPad Slim 5i is somewhat of an entry-level thin and light laptop that is highly portable thanks to its small screen size. On the other hand, the Lenovo Yoga 7i and Lenovo Yoga 9i are a bit more feature-rich and are priced accordingly. Despite Intel Tiger Lake CPUs being around for quite some time, they are yet to make their way to the Indian market, with only a few OEMs offering laptops powered by the chips. Let’s take a look at what Lenovo has in store for us.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i price in India and specifications
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i price in India is Rs 63,990. It is available for sale right away on Amazon, Lenovo’s official website, and all offline retail stores. Moving on to the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i specification, we get to choose between a range of 11th-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 SKUs. The entry-level SKU listed on Lenovo’s website appears to be running an Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU, coupled with 8GB of RAM, a 1TB 5400 RPM mechanical hard drive, and 256GB NVMe SSD. The storage can be paired with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i’s Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics card also allows for some light gaming. However, the experience might not be optimal, as the notebook comes with a 14-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 (16:9 aspect ratio, 300 nits peak brightness). Other Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i features include a 720p webcam that comes with a privacy shutter, a power button that doubles up as a fingerprint sensor, 2x 2W speakers, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Lenovo claims that its 3-cell 57Wh battery can power the laptop for up to 11 hours. Connectivity options on the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim, 5i include 2xUSB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 1xUSB 3.2 Type-C Gen 1 port, and a Headphone/microphone combo jack.
Lenovo Yoga 7i price in India and specifications
The Lenovo Yoga 7i price in India is Rs 99,000, putting it on the higher end of the spectrum. It will be available for sale starting January 15th across all major online and offline platforms. You can also pre-order the laptop on Lenovo’s website right now. The Lenovo Yoga 7i’s seemingly high price is justified by its objectively better hardware, such as an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, which can be paired with up to 16GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM and 1TB of solid-state storage via an NVMe SSD. Furthermore, its integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics card will also allow for some light gaming and productivity workloads.
The Lenovo Yoga 7i comes in two screen sizes- 14-inches and 15.6-inches. The screen is touch-enabled and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The laptop can also double up as a tablet, thanks to its 360-degree hinge. Its four-side narrow bezel design offers an 88% active area ratio. Furthermore, the Lenovo Yoga 7i comes with a 71Wh lithium-ion polymer battery that can provide up to 16 hours of backup. Much like the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5i, the laptop also comes with a privacy shutter for its 1MP webcam. Other Lenovo Yoga 7i features include Rapid Charge Express and Intelligent Cooling, Dolby Atmos Speaker System, and Lenovo Smart Assist combined with a fingerprint reader for biometric authentication.
Lenovo Yoga 9i price in India and specifications
As the proverbial king of the hill, the Lenovo Yoga 9i price in India is Rs 1,69,990. It will be available for sale starting January 12 across all online and offline platforms. Its eye-watering price is understandable, considering the laundry list of high-end features that the laptop offers. For starters, it is the only laptop of the lot that comes with a 14-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 2480 x 2160. For the uninitiated, that is a 4K screen. It is also VESA DisplayHDR compliant, has a peak brightness of 500 nits, and covers 90% of the DCI-P3 spectrum. A lower-specced SKU with an FHD (1920 x1080) resolution is also available.
The Lenovo Yoga 9i hardware specifications are pretty much identical to that of the Yoga 7i, down to the choice of CPUs, amount of RAM and storage, and even graphics card. However, it gets a Rotating Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos Speaker System that consists of four speakers in total (two woofers and two tweeters). Like the Yoga 7i, the Lenovo Yoga 9i also comes with a 360-degree hinge that allows the laptop to double up as a tablet. The laptop is equipped with an Ultrasonic Fingerprint Reader, Smart Sensor TouchPad with up to 50% more clickable active surface area that vibrates when clicked, a redesigned TrueStrike keyboard, a webcam privacy shutter, a garaged pen with Elastometer nib, AI-powered attention-sensing software, Lenovo’s Connected Home Security, Lenovo Intelligent Thermal System 4.0, and Lenovo Q-Control, and Super Resolution 2.0 that automatically upscales videos to a higher resolution.
