We reported earlier that the iPhone 13 series could come with a significantly smaller notch compared to its predecessor. However, it appears that Apple wants to take things a step further by eliminating the notch altogether. Twitter tipster MauriQHD says that there is at least one notch-less iPhone 13 prototype being tested. However, that design could also be used for the iPhone 14 series, the tipster adds. Apple could go Sony’s route and bring back bezels on all four sides to give the iPhone 13 a more symmetrical look. Perhaps the iPhone 13 will be bereft of Face ID altogether, considering that Apple could ship the phone with an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Some time ago, prolific tipster Jon Prosser prophesised that future iPhone models could pack up to 1TB of storage. A new report from ITHome broaches the subject again and states that the iPhone 13 Pro could come with up to 1TB of storage. Currently, the maximum available storage on an iPhone is 512GB; a number that many would consider overkill. The report also speculates that only the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models would come with a 1TB variant.
However, the lingering question on everyone’s mind is about the lower-specced iPhone 13’s base configuration. Apple has received a lot of flak for shipping the entry-level variants of the iPhone 12 with a paltry 64GB inbuilt storage. To make matters worse, iPhones have never offered user-expandable storage, and that isn’t changing anytime soon. Given the ever-increasing size of apps, updates, photos, videos, etc, one can only hope that better sense prevails and Apple bumps up the storage on its entry-level offerings as well.
