Xiaomi Mi 11 launch is just a few days away and we have seen renders and live images that suggest a punch-hole display and curved sides. Now, prolific tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that both the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Oppo Find X3 series will not come with an extremely curved screen (called waterfall screen) and a center-aligned hole-punch cutout for the front camera. This suggests the Mi 11 may come with slightly curved edges and a corner cut out as seen in a previous render. Mi 11 launch is said to be on December 29th in China.

The lack of a curved screen will hardly perturb potential Xiaomi Mi 11 buyers. It has plenty of high-end hardware packed into it. The company has already confirmed the Mi 11 will be the first flagship to launch with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The phone is also tipped to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen that will be able to push 120Hz at 1440p, something even Samsung flagships cannot offer yet. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi 11 is also expected to come with a dedicated MEMC chip that can, among other things, upscale SD content to HD quality.
Things get even more interesting in the camera department. An alleged Xiaomi Mi 11 spec sheet has been doing the rounds, which states that one variant of the phone will come with a whopping 192MP primary camera. Note that the Snapdragon 888 chipset can only handle up to 200MP single rear camera. However, that will very likely be restricted to the high-end Mi 11 Pro. The entry-level Mi 11 may get a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM3 Bright sensor. As confirmed earlier, the Xiaomi Mi 11 will be the world’s first smartphone to run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. It could even be host to Xiaomi’s super fast 120W fast charging technology that was showcased earlier this year alongside the Mi 10 Ultra.
