BSNL Rs 199 and Rs 251 prepaid recharge plans have been launched in India. The packs come with a validity of approximately a month and up to 70GB of data. That said, Rs 198 prepaid pack is limited to customers in the Rajasthan region, while the Rs 251 BSNL plan is a ‘work from home’ data plan, which means it isn’t bundled with free voice calls and SMSes. Here’s a closer look at the new BSNL Rs 199 and Rs 251 recharge plans along with their benefits, validity, and other details. Separately, the company has also confirmed that it will be updating the STV 998 as part of its Christmas Offer.

Rs 199 BSNL prepaid pack
The BSNL Rs 199 prepaid recharge plan is an all-in-one package that includes voice calls, data, and SMS benefits. The pack offers a quota of 250 minutes of voice calls on local and STD networks, 100 SMSes, and 2GB of data per day. The Rs 199 BSNL pack has a validity of 30 days. The recharge will be available only to BSNL prepaid pack customers in Rajasthan from December 24th onwards.
Rs 251 BSNL work from home data plan
The BSNL Rs 251 work from home data plan offers 70GB of data for the whole month to customers. The add-on tariff from the state-owned telco comes with 28 days validity. There are no calling and SMS benefits. However, the data benefit is better than the ones offered by private telcos Airtel, Jio, and Vi at the same price. They all offer 50GB data for 28 days at Rs 251.
Rs 998 BSNL prepaid pack
In related news, BSNL via its official website in Kerala revealed that it will revise its Special Tariff Voucher (STV) worth Rs 998 for a promotional offer. The prepaid recharge plan is said to offer 3GB data instead of 2GB data starting December 24th. All other freebies and bundling will remain the same, including the validity of 240 days. Since it’s a promotional offer, the scheme will only be valid for a few days.
