Twitter clone Parler becomes most-downloaded app in a single day in the US: Features and more

Parler was introduced by John Matze and Jared Thomson along with support from Republican Rebekah Mercer in 2018. The app made its mark as an alternative to Twitter allowing “free speech.” The sudden increase in user base was witnessed soon after President Donald Trump lost to Joe Biden in the US presidential race.
