realme has launched a new smartphone, the realme 7i, alongside the mid-range realme 7 smartphone in Nepal. Similar to the realme 7, the 7i offers a 90Hz display and 5000mAh battery backup. Also, the realme 7i is the third i-suffixed smartphone from realme in the last nine months.
Currently, the realme 7i is available in 8GB/128GB memory configuration in Nepal and comes in two color options: Aurora Green and Polar Blue.

Design and Display
Both realme 7 and realme 7i feature a 6.5-inch 90Hz display. However, unlike the realme 7, the latter has an HD+ display instead of an FHD+ panel. The major highlight of the display here is the support for the 90Hz refresh rate.
The phone looks identical to the realme 7 from the front facia, however, the backside features a different dual-shade texture. A thin line divides the back panel, with the top part sporting a plain texture while the other half has seamless texture. A physical fingerprint sensor sits at the center back.
The power button, volume keys are placed on the right side while the microSD slot sits on the left. The phone gets a rectangular quad-camera module and a cutout for embedding the front lens.
Performance and Memory
The realme 7i equips a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 mobile platform instead of Helio G90T/G95 paired with 8GB of RAM. Snapdragon 662 has an Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver) CPU and Adreno 610 GPU.
Along with it, realme 7i comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Camera
On paper, the realme 7i camera setup looks similar to that of the realme 7i. It has a 64MP primary camera (f/1.8) with PDAF which is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.4) offering up to a 119-degree Field of View, a 2MP monochrome portrait lens, and a 2MP macro lens (4cm). On the front, realme has included the 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.1 aperture.
The rear camera setup supports UIX Max video stabilization, while the front camera gets UI video stabilization. The camera software offers Super Nightscape, Night filters, Cinema mode among other features.

realme 7i boasts a massive 5,000mAh non-removable battery but unlike realme 7, it gets 18W Quick Charge support. An 18W fast charger (9V/2A) will be included in the box. The handset ships with realme UI based Android 10 OS. Also, the smartphone supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
