Government bans AliPay, WeTV, Lalamove India and 40 other ‘Chinese apps’

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued an order under section 69A of the Information Technology Act to block access to another 43 smartphone apps of Chinese origin. The new list includes apps like Alipay Cashier, AliExpress, WeWorkChina and 40 other apps. This comes after the government blocked access to 59 mobile apps on June 29 and 118 more apps on September 2.
