Xiaomi expands smart home ecosystem with Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser and Mi Smart LED Bulb

Xiaomi has added two new products under its Mi India IoT portfolio this week. The new Mi Smart LED Bulb and Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser have been introduced for a price starting at Rs. 499. The Xiaomi Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser will be up for sale starting October 15 via Xiaomi’s dedicated website mi.com and Mi Home stores. Here are the details of the new Xiaomi IoT products

Xiaomi Mi Smart LED Bulb Specifications

The Mi Smart LED Bulb is an affordable smart bulb that comes with a bunch of features. The smart bulb has B22 fitting to be in compliance with Indian homes. It emits 810 lumens of cool white light and is claimed to consume 7.5W energy.

The smart LED bulb’s brightness level can be adjusted via the Mi Home app. To access the feature all you will have to do is download the Mi Home app on your smartphone, search for the device, and then connect it to the app.

The Mi Smart LED bulb can also be controlled with the voice assistant. For this Xiaomi has provided Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Besides, you can set a schedule and timer as well. There’s a scene mode that adjusts the brightness and saturation as per the ambient lighting.

Xiaomi notes that the bulb has a service life of 15,000 hours which means it can likely have 7 years longevity if the bulb is used for 6 hours a day.

Xiaomi Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser Specifications

Xiaomi has added another product in its smart home ecosystem, the Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser. The dispenser features a matte finish durable design.  It provides contactless disposal of the hand-wash foam with its infrared sensor. Xiaomi claims that users don’t have to wave their hands in front of the dispenser, courtesy of the infrared sensor.

The dispenser uses a low-noise monitor and has 60-90mm infrared sensing. With the built-in proximity infrared sensor, the Mi automatic soap dispenser can dispense foam at 0.25 seconds. The foam on the dispenser comes with a balanced pH level.

Xiaomi notes that the dispenser can be used up to 375 times. The dispenser uses four AA batteries to function and dispense foam.
