Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 now up for pre-order in Nepal

Samsung has officially started the pre-booking of its top-of-the-line flagship Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Nepal. Yes, you read that right. For the first time ever, a foldable phone will release in Nepal. Upon pre-order of the device, the user can get a Galaxy Buds Live TWS free and coverage of accidental breakage with breakage insurance for a year.

Design and Display

Starting with the screen – the outside screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 (which Samsung calls Cover screen) has grown from a bezel-ridden 4.6″ to a 6.2″ HD+ (2260×816 pixels) Super AMOLED that covers the entire front and sports a particularly tall 25:9 aspect ratio with a punch-hole for a 10MP selfie camera.

Whereas inside the main screen has a 7.6-inch 2208x1768px Dynamic AMOLED display of 22.5:18 aspect ratio and adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The main display also now incorporates Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) for improved image quality and a more premium feel.

In terms of protection, the cover display is strengthened by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus while the back panel makes do with its predecessor – the Gorilla Glass 6.

Like on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, there’s a sweeper structure in the gap between the hinge and body to keep dust and particles out and prevent damage with time. Samsung has also managed to make the gap even smaller than the Z Flip’s.

Performance and Memory

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with an upgraded processor. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 865+ that also powers the Galaxy 20 Series and Galaxy Z Flip. It is the latest chipset from Qualcomm that clocks up to 3.1GHz, which is a 10% increase over the clock speeds delivered by the Snapdragon 865. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

Camera

The company has equipped the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 with a triple camera on its one non-screen side arranged vertically inside the rectangular module, along with an LED flash. The main is a 12MP (f/1.8) sensor with dual pixel autofocus, optical image stabilization, and 1.8µm-sized pixels. There’s a 12MP (f/2.4) telephoto camera that does 2x zoom with 1.0µm pixels. The final sensor is a 12MP (f/2.2) ultrawide with 1.12µm pixels and a 12mm angle of view.

There are two selfie cameras on the Galaxy Z Fold2 – one 10MP (f/2.2) 1.22µm is punched into the cover screen and another 10MP (f/2.2) 1.22µm inside the right half of the folding main screen. You can also use the cover screen as a viewfinder and snap yourself with any of the three main cameras.
