The tech hub in Nepal is flooded with realme’s latest accessories. Just recently the Chinese OEM launched a host of AIoT products in the country including the affordable realme Band, realme Buds Air Neo, and realme Buds Air TWS with wireless charging support. Expanding its accessories portfolio, realme has now launched its latest product the realme Watch that comes with an IP68 rating.
realme Watch, which is the first smartwatch from the company, has been launched for a price of NPR 7,799. It is available for purchase from brick & mortar stores across the country.

Display and Design
At first look, you will see that the realme Watch design is inspired by Apple Watch as it has identical looks and same shape. The new realme Watch sports a polycarbonate body with curved edges. The design of the smartwatch also looks identical to Fitbit’s Versa 2 with squared dial and black bezels surrounding the perimeter.
The smartwatch features a 1.4-inch 2.5D curved display with a screen resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The screen is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. The smartwatch offers 12 different brightness levels with up to 380 nits brightness.
Personalized Watch Faces
realme Watch supports twelve built-in exquisite watch faces which you can access via the realme Link app. The company has promised to add 100 more watch faces in the future via OTA updates for a fresh look every time you power on the watch.
Real-time Heart Rate Monitor & Blood-oxygen Level Monitor (SpO2)
Unlike many smartwatches that have an ECG sensor, the realme Watch instead equips a built-in PPG optical heart rate sensor for 24-hour uninterrupted heart rate monitoring. You will also be alerted if your heart rate is too low or too high to protect your health.
The realme Watch also monitors blood oxygen saturation level (SpO2) to avoid health problems especially for those who perform high-intensity physical or mental workouts.

14 Sports Mode
As for sports tracking you get a total of 14 sports modes on the realme Watch that includes- Outdoor cycle, indoor run, outdoor run, walk, strength training, football, basketball, yoga, cricket, aerobic capacity, badminton, indoor cycle, table tennis and elliptical.
Some add-ons on the watch include Meditation feature that helps with inhaling and exhaling. There is a sedentary reminder (that prompts you to take brisk walks in between while working) and drink reminder as well.
Other Specs and Features
The IP68 rated water and dust resistant watch feature a bunch of goodies for its price including phone finder, quick access to music controls, however, the caveat of the realme Watch is that it has Android-only support.
In terms of functionality, the realme Watch performs all the necessary tasks that you can expect from a budget smartwatch. The colored touchscreen pops up the app and calls notifications, shows activity tracking, time, weather, heart rate, calories burned, etc.
A right swipe on the screen opens shortcuts for adjusting the brightness level, DND, power-saving mode.
Battery
As far as battery backup is concerned, the realme Watch packs a 160mAh battery which company claims to deliver 7-9 days’ worth of usage depending on whether the heart rate monitor is turned on/off. The watch can be charged via a USB magnetic charger and the whole charging process will be completed inside 2.5 hours.

realme Watch price in Nepal is Rs 7,799 and has already been made available for purchase starting August 11 on Daraz and company’s 950+ offline stores across the country. The realme Watch band comes in a single color variant, i.e. Black. The brand offers three different color straps- Red, Green, and Blue, which you will have to buy separately.

In my opinion, I found realme Watch a little overpriced in Nepal considering it costs INR 3,999 ( approx. NPR 6,398.40) in India.
