MediaTek launches Dimensity 800U chipset for mid-tier 5G smartphones

Taiwan-based chipmaker MediaTek has launched a new chipset with support for 5G, called Dimensity 800U. This chipset is based on a 7 nanometer technology and comes with support for 5G+5G Dual Sim Dual Standby (DSDS) technology. This latest processor from MediaTek is aimed at mid-tier 5G smartphones, said the company in a statement.
